Born and raised in Honduras, Jenny Howell (Formerly Cerna) excelled in track and field, was an excellent striker “soccer” player and loved being on stage. She relished public speaking and won oratory contests as she was always “elected by her terrified classmates” to present the university group projects.
Even at a young age, Jenny possessed an entrepreneurial spirit. She started her career in sales at the tender age of 15 and owned a small business from age 18 to 23. “As I was under-aged, my mother had to get a credit card under her name so that I could use it for opening my businesses.”
Being an excellent presenter, Jenny earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing at Catholic University of Honduras. After college, Jenny began a robust career in the hospitality industry, which is a bedrock for becoming a great Real Estate agent. She relocated to Miami in 2004.
Showcasing her expertise in the hospitality and travel industries, Jenny had appeared on three international travel and luxury lifestyle TV shows, including “Mis Hoteles Favoritos” from AMC networks, and two Argentinian-based series, “Agenda” by Elsa Seveso and Cecilia Z” by Cecilia Zuberbhuler.
She has led successful teams as Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of Travel Industry Sales, respectively. “I enjoyed educating travel agents about Miami and conducting property tours. I realized that if I could sell the Miami experience as a temporary stay, I could sell Miami as a vacation home, an investment property or a forever dream home!”
Jenny signed up for a workshop on improving your personal finances and discovered the power of Real Estate investing. Jenny fell in love with Real Estate and how Real Estate could improve people’s lives and promote personal wealth. Jenny is no stranger to relocation – having moved from Honduras to Miami. She has not only adopted the Miami lifestyle, she has embraced many cultures from around the globe. She has traveled to 42 countries and over 100 cities. “I have a world map with many pushpins.”
When she preferred a great city experience, she embraced Rome, St. Petersburg, Hong Kong, London, and Tokyo. When she longed for a natural experience, she visited Alaska where she observed whale watching and people catching their dinner. She visited Machu Pichu in Peru, the Iguazu Falls, the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland, and even the “End of the World,” a visit to the Perito Moreno Glacier. “I went to Cheng-du, China where I sat right next to a panda bear, the cutest animals on earth.”
Jenny is a humanitarian with a huge heart. She attends Mikado Baptist Church and supports Prison Fellowship where counseling and a consistent message of hope is available for the needy and the lost.
Jenny travels back and forth between Florida and Georgia where she also practices Real Estate.
