Michael Malzacher
A native South Floridian with a passion for the outdoors and the laid-back lifestyle of Hollywood Beach, Michael P. Malzacher has enjoyed South Florida for thirty years. Born and raised in the Florida Keys, he was the fifth of ten children. Although his siblings live in different parts of the country, they communicate with each other every day.
“Family is and will always be my priority.”
At the age of 18 Michael graduated high school and attended the University of West Florida in Pensacola to study elementary education. Within the first month, 9/11 happened. In his first year of study, he desired to serve his fellow countrymen. Michael joined the U.S. Army as a combat medic. He quickly advanced basic and medical training to join the 3-7 Cavalry where he completed two tours of Iraq.
Michael was in charge of the medical well-being for over 50 soldiers when he was attached to a Quick Reaction Force. He earned his Combat Medical Badge for providing aid during mortar fire. He was also the recipient of the following:
• Army Commendation Medal (twice)
• National Defense Service Medal
• Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal • Global War on Terrorism Service Medal
• Combat Medical Badge (as stated) and
• The Joint Service Achievement Medal.
He was known to say, “It’s irrelevant why we’re in Iraq. I’m here to save lives and fight alongside my fellow Americans.”
Michael was honorably discharged and began working in the restaurant industry in Jacksonville, Florida. This industry taught him useful business communications skills as he quickly moved from server to bartender. He made many lifelong friends and created unforgettable memories. However, he realized that this business was just not for him.
He was afforded an opportunity to work for a private school in Miami. After just two years, he was appointed to the position of Athletic Director. Quickly learning the ropes, Michael was greatly respected by his peers. He was awarded multiple outstanding leadership awards and was voted “Sportsman of the Year” by coaches from competing schools. Thereafter, he was placed in charge of educating coaches and parents on the importance of sportsmanship.
Through the program “Play Like a Champion Today,” Michael instilled values of teamwork, sportsmanship and creating a healthy, competitive environment among children, coaches, and parents.
While working as the Athletic Director, Michael obtained his Real Estate license.
“I’ve always had a passion for Real Estate and made the move into this industry as a full-time sales associate.”
Michael enjoys the process of helping people buy and sell their homes. He joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty on Las Olas because he wanted to proudly tether himself to a well-known brand with a stellar reputation. Having served in the military, Michael received his VA Loan Certification. He has committed to continue his education in the Real Estate realm to stay up to date in this ever-changing industry and to ensure smooth transactions for all of his clients.
“Most importantly, I want my clients’ Real Estate journeys to be positive ones – I will always put their interests first. Since homeownership is the road to wealth, I will lead them down that road and walk alongside them.”
