Originally from Puerto Rico, Millie Vazquez relocated to the United States in 1980 to study at Pace University. She worked for Newsweek and an advertising agency.She helped launch the Liz Claiborne Flagship store on 5th Avenue, New York. Millie headed up product sales to South America, "Because I spoke Spanish, I was the natural pick to launch Liz Claiborne in Costa Rica, Mexico, Uruguay and Argentina. Thereafter, Millie moved to upstate NY where she began her longstanding career with Bed Bath and Beyond; there as a Department Manager and learning everything about their products and services. She also dabbled in decorating and furniture sales. Loving people interaction, she became the trainer for the Bridal Department teaching employees how to coach the bride and how to customize the registry based on the needs of the bride. She was with this corporation from 2002-2018. Millie will tell you that sales is all about service. " It's all about compassion, care and attention to detail. Customer Service is about how you respect and communicate with people. "Don't ask anyone to do anything you are not willing to do yourself" Lead by example. After moving to Florida, Millie realized that she needed a change in career but wanted to continue in a high-touch sales environment. She obtained her Real Estate license and joined the "Lucky Homes Group" at the Berkshire Hathaway EWM Realty Aventura office. I've had a longstanding work relationship with this home-selling team, and I feel at home here. Millie has a great understanding of those who have relocated from other countries.Because of her charitable spirit, Millie is a contributor to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and believes in its cause.
