Karen Corlett McCammon has lived in Miami all of her life. In fact, she is a 6th generation Floridian! She has been a real estate agent since 1979 and from 1981-1985, was the Vice-President and head of Corporate Relocation for one of the largest real estate companies in South Florida, assiting multi-national corporations in bringing transferees into the area, assisting spouses with employment contacts, families with school contacts, etc. She was one of the first members of Relocation Director's Council, a national organization of top relocation directors, and was invited to give seminars on the subject, at both National Association of Realtors meetings and Employee Relocation Council (ERC) meetings.
In 1985, she went back into sales and and has consistently been the top or among the top producers of her company. She is a Broker-Associate, and a member of the prestigious Master Brokers Forum, an invitation only group of Realtors, the top 200 in Miami-Dade and Broward County.
Karens knowledge of the Greater Miami area allows her to show and sell in a wide variety of locations, although her main areas of expertise include Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Brickell, South Miami, Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, The Falls, East Kendall and the Old Cutler area. She is also quite familiar with Key Biscayne and Miami Beach.
Involvement in her community is most important to her. She quotes,"I love my city and am excited about sharing it's attributes with others." Karen is very active in her church, St Thomas Episcopal Parish and Parish School, having served on the School Board,Vestry and as Sr Warden. She ia a lay reader and chalice bearer and is a mentor for Education for Ministry. She has been active in the Junior League of Miami, Beaux Arts of the Lowe Art Museum, and Leadership Miami. The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce are organizations she was at one time very active in. Recently, she and her husband Co-Chaired the Gala for the Miami Museum of Science and Space Planetarium.
In her free time, she especially enjoys being with her grandchildren, ages 5 and 7, and her family. She and her husband, Bob, also a real estate broker who often assists her, love to travel and experience other cultures. They like to hike and take in the scenery of peaceful streams, mountains and lakes.
