Maria Elisa Flores- P.A.

Born in Germany but raised in Venezuela, Maria Elisa“Lis” Flores moved to Miami several years ago. “It is an interesting moment for the Real Estate business; the new economic conditions and the present market reality create a challenge for both buyers and sellers and therefore redefine the role of the real estate agent. One needs to be better informed in order to understand both the big picture and the specific market dynamics.”

With an LLM from Tulane University and a Law degree from the Catholic University in Caracas, Lis has a very diverse professional background and experience. During her early years she worked as a ship-broker for Venezuela´s national petrochemical company and then headed to become general manager of a Norwegian-owned ship brokerage company. Her understanding of international business and her entrepreneurship interest led her to partnering in the founding of a distribution company for fertilizers in Venezuela. During 5 years she acted as General Manager of the company.

In 1994, she decided to take a break from her on-going activities. She sold her stake in the company and took-off to discover Asia and Australia. Upon returning home, she co-directed a research project that took her and her husband on an eight-month road trip all around South America to analyze local emerging multinational companies and intra-regional investment flows.

With such a diverse background and expertise, Lis decided to channel her entrepreneurial energy to the non-profit sector and was responsible for fundraising and development efforts of a new NGO that supported education and attention to children at-risk.

Sustainability, environmental issues and green living are an essential part of her way of life. Traveling and discovering the world of human existence is her passion. “We are blessed to live on this gorgeous earth! Lets take care of it and love it the very best we can.”
