Allen C. Harper has more than 30 years of business experience, primarily in the areas of real estate sales and management, development, rail transportation, and tourism. He is still active in a variety of businesses.

Mr. Harper has served as a Director on the Tri-County Rail Authority, a state owned commuter railroad, and has been Chairman of the Board for two terms. He has also served as a Director of Florida East Coast Industries, Inc., a railroad, real estate, and telecommunications company based in St. Augustine Florida, since May of 1994.

In 1992, Mr. Harper became actively involved in the tourism industry. He and his wife Carol currently own two of the nation's most historic, scenic tourist oriented railroads, The Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad in Colorado, and The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad in North Carolina.
