Born in Philadelphia, Michael relocated with his family at the age of four to Lynchburg, VA where he spent his formative years establishing lifelong friendships.

Much of his time was spent swimming and playing tennis to the extent he eventually began competing in city-wide tournaments and representing his high school from which he graduated. 

From there he attended Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA where he received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Marketing.  One year later, after an unfulfilling experience in the world of retail, he attended and later graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Master’s Degree in Marketing.

“I can recall thinking I’m at an important crossroads in my life.  What will I do next, now that my education is behind me?”  He decided to go to work as an area supervisor for 7-Eleven, Inc., overseeing eight stores in the downtown Richmond, VA market.

After three years, this line of working wasn’t as rewarding as Michael had hoped, and by chance he bumped into a gentleman passing through town who was looking for a new sale rep to join the Arizona Beverage Co. team.  Over the next five years, Michael ascended through the company ultimately becoming a National Account Manager for them.

“I felt I had found my calling; that being a career in sales.  I enjoyed the connections I was making with buyers, and by using the information I gathered from interacting with them, I was able to best meet their needs.”  Arizona Beverage Co. was the first of four beverage manufacturers with whom Michael would be employed over his fifteen years in that industry.

As much as he enjoyed the line of work, the one drawback to this form of selling was the amount of travel required by it.  “It was difficult developing meaningful relationships with those in the community when one’s on a plane several times a month”.

Through the suggestion of a friend in real estate, Michael decided to get his Florida real estate license and start a new career.  This gave him the ability to meet many new and diverse people, but keep him rooted in the day-to-day life Fort Lauderdale where he resides.

Now Michael is in a position to utilize his background in consumer product goods’ sales to the benefit of his real estate clients.  “I couldn’t have predicted the path my career would take, but I’m happy with the way it’s worked out.   Now I can utilize the experience and confidence I’ve acquired over the years in my sales career to best serve my future clients with their current and future homes.”
