Human Resources Manager
Marta Toledo is EWM’s Human Resources Manager. Marta has an associate of Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Barry University. She was also accepted to the College of Education at Florida International University where she took some courses in Counseling.
Prior to coming to EWM, Marta was the Employment Manager at Miami-Dade College where she oversaw the employment services for six campuses and several outreach centers; and more than 7,000 employees. She was appointed by the College President to the Legislative Issues Committee, served as Chairperson to the College’s Screening Committees, and served on the Presidents Recognition of Excellence Award Committee. Prior to that, Marta was Acting Employment Coordinator/Personnel Representative for the Human Resources Department at Florida International University. In this position, she provided recruitment/employment functions at the University Park Campus, with strengths in Immigration rules and regulations, advertising position vacancies, interviewing, screening and testing applicants as well as providing University wide training on various HR topics. Prior to that, Marta worked in the private sector for a New York firm in the capacity of Personnel/Office Manager.
Marta has over thirty years of human resources experience. Her areas of specialty are employee relations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, performance reviews, payroll, and benefits.Marta was born in Cuba, was raised in New York City and has been a resident of Miami since 1988
