Although Judith is new to the EWM family she is a long time resident of Miami Beach and Miami with roots reaching deep into the community.
Best known for her involvement with the family owned and operated Gatti The Restaurant of Distinction, located at 1427 West Avenue on Miami Beach. Judith enjoyed her association with this amazing fine dining Italian restaurant which opened its doors in 1925 and continued the “tradition” for the next 67 years. Best known for the incredible food, outstanding service and exceptional quality. On any given night at Gatti’s West Avenue location many of Miami’s most prominent and notorious citizens mingled with ordinary folks and notables such as John L. Knight, Jackie Gleason, Al Capone, and J. Edgar Hoover.
Later, Judith served as the Executive Director of the “Foundlings Club” (the brain child of Micky Wolfson). The private “members only” club was home to an impressive roster of Miami’s most influential and extraordinary women and 6 honorary male members. The fine dining club was dedicated to the art of intellectual conversation. “Even today, I never meet a Foundling who does not express their love and appreciation of the unique venue the club brought to Miami Beach – once a Foundling always a Foundling.”
More recently, Judith served for over 10 years as the Executive Director of Feeding South Florida (formerly Daily Bread Food Bank). The organization distributed over 30 million lbs. of food annually through a network of 800 other not-for-profit organizations throughout S. Florida; operated 165,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space and employed 82 people. “My work at the food bank was transformational and I am grateful I was afforded the privilege of service. It was a humbling experience to see first-hand the extraordinary generosity of so many in our community.”
