Five generations of Douglas Smith's family have lived in South Florida. Douglas' family history of South Florida Realtors began in 1956 when his grandfather, Harry Campbell, brokered the sale of The Boca Raton Hotel from J. Myer Schine to Arthur Vining Davis. Douglas' mother, Sally Smith, was a Realtor with Traphagen on Las Olas Boulevard selling homes in their Harbor Beach neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale.

Now, the torch has been passed to a third generation Realtor!

No one knows or loves the area like a native. When Douglas is not negotiating real estate transactions, he is navigating the intracoastal waterways, constantly previewing housing from an investor's perspective between Palm Beach and Monroe counties. Douglas Smith can be called a true waterfront specialist. He has resided in Fort Lauderdale by Lake Sylvia in Harbor Beach, the New River at Cooley Hammock and Yacht Club Boulevard in Coral Ridge on Sunrise Bay. Douglas also launches or docks his boat off Watson Island in Key Biscayne near Miami Beach, where he currently maintains a primary residence.  And, Douglas can be found often further south around Founder’s Park in Islamorada, visiting family in the Venetian Shores neighborhood along the Snake Creek.
